Review by hotel critic
As an adventure travel blogger from Australia who has a penchant for the French Alps, I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mercure for a gourmet getaway. Let me share my thoughts. The Express & Co set menu at the bar was a lifesaver on a day when I was pressed for time. The efficiency and quality of the service truly impressed me. Additionally, to kick off my day of adventures, I decided to indulge in the hot buffet breakfast offered at the restaurant. The spread was decent, hearty enough to fuel a day of mountain biking or skiing. When it came to experiencing French cuisine, Le Restaurant truly shone. The ambiance was charming, and the garden views added a touch of tranquility to my dining experience. I particularly enjoyed the happy hour at the Carmina restaurant, just a stone's throw away. However, I must note that breakfast at the hotel fell short of expectations, lacking variety and flavor. Despite this, the overall culinary offerings at Mercure were top-notch, especially at Le Restaurant and Carmina, which left me satisfied after a day of exploration. In conclusion, if you are a food enthusiast looking for a cozy stay with good culinary options close to the heart of dining experiences in the French Alps, Mercure is a reliable choice worth considering.
